The smoky spices in xawaash pair perfectly with ground turkey to give these meatballs delicious, deep flavors. The recipe for xawaash can be found in the “spice mixes” section on our website!



1 lb ground turkey

¼ yellow onion, chopped

1 clove of garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

2 tsp xawaash

1 Tbsp olive oil



  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until evenly combined.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. While the oil is heating, scoop 2-tablespoon portions of the turkey mixture and roll into balls. Flatten them slightly.
  4. Sear the meatballs, a few at a time, until they are golden brown on all sides.

Yield:10-12 meatballs
